Christian Karl Gerhartsreiter, aka Clark Rockefeller, was found guilty of the 1985 murder of a California man yesterday. Gerhartsreiter, who was the main character in the 2010 Lifetime movie Who Is Clark Rockefeller? after posing as a member of the wealthy and legendary Rockefeller family for years, was found guilty of the first-degree murder of John Sohus, who was the 27-year-old son of Gerhartsreiter’s former landlady. He was convicted despite the fact that there were no witnesses, evidence, or clear motive for the murder. Deputy District Attorney Habib Balian argued that the circumstantial evidence alone was enough to convict him.
