When Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi (and the rest of the Jersey Shore cast) became overnight sensations back in December of 2009, besides the cast’s personalities and antics, the biggest topics of conversation were The Situation’s abs, Pauly D’s “blowout” hairstyle, and Snooki’s towering “poof” do. The Situation still has his abs, and Pauly D is still sporting the blowout, but Snooki abandoned her height-gaining guidette beehive a while ago. But, the 25-year-old mother of one has apparently not abandoned towering hairstyles altogether, because she arrived at the 2013 MTV Music Awards tonight sporting a HUGE hairstyle that equalled the poof in height, but surpassed it in width — and glam!
Oh, and did I mention the rest of her look was just as fabulous? Here’s a head-to-toe gander, which may take you a bit longer than you expected because of a pair of towering high heels — and of course the hair. 😉
Snooki was quick to give credit where credit was due by sharing this next photo with makeup and hair stylist Traci Barrett on instagram along with the caption, “Thank you @tracibarrett for my fab look for #mtvmovieawards ❤❤love u!”
She also shared a photo of the early stages of getting ready hours before the MTV Movie Awards ceremonies began and wrote, “Getting the hair did by my girl @tracibarrett ❤”

I think Snooki looked fanglamtastic without a doubt, but I must confess that when I saw Traci in that Waylon Jennings tee shirt my heart skipped a beat! I now have my first celebrity stylist crush — not only can she do wonders with hair and makeup, but she probably drives to work blasting Honky Tonk Heroes?!? ***SWOON***
In honor of Snooki’s show-stealing look and Traci’s impeccable taste in music, here’s a song from the album (Ol’ Waylon) which features the Waylon photo on Traci’s shirt on its cover that I’d like to send out to Snooki’s better half (and Lorenzo’s daddy), Jionni. (I think it fits, aside from the singer and Southern stuff.) 🙂
