Since the Brown family has shared their story with the public they have claimed to have a more egalitarian setup in their plural marriage in which the women enjoy a depree of independence even as they all make decisions together. In the past few years, however, the family has fractured beyond repair, which resulted in Christine choosing to divorce Kody and live her life separately.
A few years ago, Kody openly questioned whether or not polygamy was a “failed experiment” that hindered the happiness of the women. Now that Christine has left, Kody has been wounded by this loss of power and is responding by trying to tighten his control over his remaining three wives by declaring their family a “patriarchy” and demanding compliance to his will.
In a preview for next week’s episode of Sister Wives Christine Brown reveals to her sister wives that she has left Kody and will be moving from Arizona to Utah. During their discussion Kody tells her he wants 50/50 custody of their daughter Truly despite never having spent 50% of is time with Truely before.
After Kody and Christine Brown’s breakup talk, Kody came back to Christine’s house to talk again. He started off by telling her that he’s worried that they were making a mistake in splitting up.
Things were going pretty well for Kimberly Menzies and Usman “Sojaboy” Umar during her first trip to Nigeria. Usman even greeted Kimberly with a kiss, which meant a lot for her because he previously withheld physical affection. Things took a sharp turn, however, when they discussed the notion of taking on more than one wife. Kimberly had an understanding of the situation that she would receive all the love, and Usman would keep another woman in Nigeria just to have children with.
Pretty much every adult in the Brown family of Sister Wives is going through a difficult time in their marriage. Although Janelle seems the most content, she’s dealing with the fact that her husband Kody has a terrible relationship with her sons Garrison and Gabe. Meri isn’t really in Kody’s life anymore despite the fact that she still claims to be spiritually married to him. Christine has left Kody and is moving to a different state. She’s also named Robyn as the most loved, and “favorite” wife. But, Robyn doesn’t seem happy with Kody either.
