During tonight’s episode of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, scandals surrounding Mary Cosby’s church were again brought into the spotlight. For several episodes, Meredith Marks has found herself on the receiving end of cryptic messages about Mary’s church, Faith Temple Pentecostal. Does Mary think she’s a god? Are church members giving her too much money?

Most of Jen Shah’s Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast was shocked when she was arrested by the feds for fraud. Meredith Marks, however, was completely unfazed. She even hinted to Mary Cosy that someone might have tipped off the FBI about Jen. At the beginning of tonight’s episode, Meredith revealed that she hired a private investigator.

On the very first episode of the first Season of Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, Mary Cosby implies that she’s married to her former step-grandfather Robert Sr. because her grandmother Rosemary had asked for that to happen in her will. At the reunion, however, Mary revealed that there was no will or any written “receipts” of her grandmother’s wishes about this arrangement. Mary later revealed in Season 2 that her mother had wanted to marry Robert Sr. instead of her, and Mary hasn’t spoken to her mother in 25 years because of their disagreement over this important life choice.

When you’ve got a personal life as unusual as that of Mary Cosby, there’s bound to be a ton of misinformation out there. The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City star has drawn more headlines than any other cast member before the show has even aired. Right off the top, we’ll try to clear the air: Yes, Mary Cosby’s husband is also her grandfather. No, the two are not related by blood. Yes, technically the man Mary married is her *step* grandfather. And no, the story of how they came to be wife and husband is not like any other in Real Housewives history.
