An ambulance was called to the London home of singer Amy Winehouse earlier today after reports of a woman’s body being found. Paramedics arrived at 3:54 pm and pronounced Amy Winehouse dead on the scene. The singer was 27 years old.

But what I’m most excited about are the 13 nominations for my favorite new drama series of 2011: Game of Thrones! Netflix announced on Tuesday that their popular unlimited DVD by mail and unlimited streaming combined package would no longer be available starting immediately for new customers and September 1 for existing customers. The new pricing options are now either $7.99 for unlimited DVDs by mail, $7.99 for unlimited online streaming, or $15.98 for both.

It seems LeAnn Rimes has retired from music to pursue her new career as a Twitter bikini model, “too skinny” denier, and Brandi Glanville stalker. Although it’s not a career that promises a lot of financial rewards, it is a career LeAnn seems to be getting better at – as evidenced by her latest couple bikini photos that seem to use every trick in the book to help make her seem a little less thin than she is!
It appears as though MTV might have themselves a bit of a Situation! Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has reportedly stormed out of the Seaside Heights beach house where the network is currently filming Season 5 of the popular reality series. Casey Anthony was found innocent of murdering her daughter Caylee Anthony on Tuesday, but lost in the uproar over that verdict is that she was found guilty of four misdemeanor counts of lying to police for which she faced sentencing today. The maximum sentence would have been a year for each count and that is what the judge decided to give her, which means she was sentenced to a total of four years behind bars plus a $1,000 fine for each offense totaling $4,000. Yesterday (July 5) was Pauly D’s birthday and the Jersey Shore star celebrated it Jersey shore style – by riding rides at an amusement park with his family!
