Man o man – the girls and guys of Teen Mom can’t do anything without the Teen Momarazzi snappin’ pics! Such was the case this week when Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra were at his cousin Nicholas’ birthday party and the two were snapped hanging out with some buds – Bud Lights to be exact!
Actually, it wasn’t the Teen Momarazzi at all, but a family member taking the pictures. And the photos weren’t “leaked” either, they were posted by family members in public albums on Facebook!

Let’s get the facts straight here – Tyler and Catelynn weren’t actually caught in the act of underage drinking, but there seems to be little question that the beer cans in front of them were in their possession. (It’s too bad they weren’t bottles then I could have used the old Tom Waits joke, “I’d rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal lobotomy!”)
I’m sure these photos are going to stir up a bunch of criticism, but it’s really pretty silly. These are two 19-year-olds at a family function where beer cans were on the table. And let’s remember that they don’t have a child present or at home, so there’s no need for critics to try to take the “bad parent” angle either. Of course I had to make a post about the photos because they are Teen Mom “news,” but to get all worked up over it is making a mountain out of a mole hill in my opinion.

Let’s try to focus on the positives here shall we? Number one, Catelynn and Tyler look like celebrities don’t they? Catelynn’s looking glamorous – complete with her now-familiar hair flower, and Tyler’s done got himself a rockstar “Freedom” jacket and matching shades – who cares if it’s summertime?!?
And let us not forget the most important thing about this family get together… Butch was in the house!

That’s right, Tyler’s dad and Catelynn’s step-dad Darl Lynn “Butch” Baltierra is a free man and he was rockin’ the party along with perhaps the baddest mullet to ever grace the small screen!
Sadly, Catelynn’s mom April wasn’t at the festivities – apparently because she and husband Butch aren’t legally allowed to be together for a number of months. 🙁 But that’s OK, we’ll just spread the Butch around!

To keep the good news/bad news roller coaster going I’d like to congratulate Catelynn and Tyler who celebrate their 7-year anniversary today!
Their joy has been tempered by the fact that Tyler just found out his new puppy is very sick and might not survive. From Catelynn: “We need ur prayers today tys dog has parvo and it 50 50 he could live or he could die… Hes only 6 weeks old…. lets pray for the best.” So say a prayer for the puppy!
****It should be noted that I updated this post shortly after publication to try to further emphasize the fact that I don’t think there’s any real story here – other than Butch being out and being Butch!
