Despite Here Comes Honey Boo Boo‘s reputation among detractors and those who have never actually taken the time to watch it, it’s actually a very positive show. Sure, the girls like to play in the mud, holler and say “fart” a lot, and the family’s dietary habits are just deplorable, but once you look past the lack of etiquette (and money) and the overabundance of cheese puffs, what you have is a loving family that celebrates individuality seemingly completely devoid of discrimination. That aspect of the show was recognized by the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation with a nomination for Outstanding Reality Program at the 2013 GLAAD Media Awards, and Mama June herself flew to New York City receive the redneckognition in person!

Tonight is the premiere of Liftime’s somewhat controversial new reality series Preachers’ Daughters, which focuses on the lives of three teenage girls who have to deal with all the positives and negatives that go along with having a pastor for a father. We previously profiled each of the father/daughter duos with lots of photos, Twitter links, and the official bios for Olivia Perry, Kolby Koloff and Taylor Coleman. But since that time Lifetime has released the official cast portraits of the gal as well as intro video clips for each to help folks get to know them before the premiere (or after).

The Harlem Shake craze has about played out, and I’m not sorry to see it go. Duck Dynasty jumped on the train right as it left town, though, and I’m glad they did. Willie’s pretty good as usual, and the puppet is a nice touch, but Jase steals the scene for sure.
