Patti Stanger is in the business of love but when it comes to her own love life, she hasn’t had much success. Patti has been dating mortgage broker David Krause since last spring and things seem to be heading in the right direction. Unfortunately, David may be keeping a dark secret from his Millionaire Matchmaker girlfriend.
According to the National Enquirer, David was on the receiving end of a restraining order in 2007 which required him to stay 100 yards away from his ex-fiance Erin Futterer and her 11-year-old daughter. Court documents claim that David was “not stable” and was “verbally and emotionally abusive.” In addition to that, David reportedly owes Erin tons of child support and was charged with domestic violence.
Earlier this year, Patti gushed about David and the love they share. “We want the same things, and our deal breakers are the same – I think it just fell into alignment,” Patti revealed to Life & Style. “I followed my book, Become Your Own Matchmaker. I did everything I wrote in there. I’m shocked it worked, to be honest with you. It works for other people, but for me, I didn’t know it would!”
Patti has even spoken of her and David’s plan to adopt children of their own which is on Patti’s list of non-negotiables. Apparently, a clean record is not.
Recently, Patti denied reports that she and David were engaged saying, “We’re not engaged yet, but maybe watch the finale and you’ll see something.”
