Spare Parts: A dedication to the moms of Teen Mom 2

Last night’s penultimate episode of Teen Mom 2 was an hour and a half roller coaster of emotions and learning the hard way via the school of hard knocks. We’ve admittedly got a soft spot for our girls and find ourselves pulling for them to break through the very real problems they face and to better themselves for the future of their children. As the curtain closed and we saw Leah overcome with the reality of her impending divorce, I was reminded of a song called “Spare Parts” and thought I’d share it. It’s a reminder that even in these moments in time where each turn seems like a bad one there’s grace, strength, conviction and love to be found.

Amber Portwood says she wants her family back, is willing to remain drug free

During her court hearing yesterday in which a judge accepted her plea deal allowing her to re-enter rehab in lieu of serving jail time, Teen Mom star Amber Portwood said she was committed to her family and being drug free. She also said that once she was released she would finally set up the court-mandated $10,000 college trust fund for her daughter Leah, get her GED, and pay $56 in outstanding court fees. “I understand it’s going to be hard,” she said, “but I have a lot to lose.”

Teen Mom Amber Portwood’s plea deal accepted, headed to rehab instead of jail for now

An Indiana judge has approved Teen Mom star Amber Portwood’s plea deal that would allow her to enter rehab in lieu of serving out a 5-year prison sentence for drug possession and violating her probation. Woman busted in FBI sting for trying to extort Duggar’s cousin, country singer Amy Duggar with “harmless” photos

Teresa Hunt was busted in a FBI sting after she tried to extort $10,000 from the Duggar family, or get them off the air in exchange for not releasing what she called “damning” photos of Duggar first cousin (and aspiring country singer) Amy Duggar.

Hunt actually shopped the photos to Radar Online at some point, who declined to buy the photos. The Radar staff says the photos were “harmless snaps rather than incriminating, damning photos,” and at the time they passed on them they had no idea Hunt was trying to extort the Duggars.

Mob Wives’ Renee Graziano hospitalized after her father Anthony “TG” Graziano was arrested yet again

Mob Wives star Renee Graziano was rushed to a New York City hospital Friday soon after hearing that her father, Anthony “TG” Graziano, had been arrested yet again along with four other alleged members of the Bonanno crime family in an early morning raid. She reportedly suffered a panic attack and collapsed hours after hearing about her father’s arrest, which came less than two weeks after he had been indicted for a separate charge of extortion. Adding insult to injury, it appears that both arrests were made stemming from information received from recordings made by Renee’s ex-husband Hector “Junior” Pagan after he flipped to avoid armed robbery charges last year.

Teen Mom Amber Portwood strikes a plea deal, gets five year sentence

Troubled Teen Mom star Amber Portwood was in court today stemming from her drug arrest last month after police found numerous prescription pills in her possession that she could not prove were hers. Amber pled guilty to one count of possession of a controlled substance and one count of probation violation and was sentenced to five years in prison. But, as part of the plea deal, Amber can avoid serving any time behind bars if she completes a court-mandated drug rehabilitation program, which means graduating from the Madison County Drug Court program.

When Dakota Fred Hurt rolled into Porcupine Creek just as the Hoffman’s were swirling the last bit of black sand out of their first pan of Season Two gold, there was no question who was being cast as the villain in Gold Rush 2. Dakota Fred’s timing and smirk were almost too evil to be plausible, and he became a very easy man to hate. But, does he deserve our disdain, or was it just edited to look that way?

Report: Leah Messer suffers a miscarriage

According to the cover story in the latest issue of OK! magazine, Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has suffered a miscarriage. An “insider close to the reality star” reveals to the tabloid, “She was having bad cramps for the past two weeks, and then she miscarried.” Leah Messer’s fiance (and father-to-be) Jeremy Calvert reportedly spoke with OK!, saying, “It’s a devastating experience, but all I can do is support Leah and take things day by day.” He then adds, “It’s hard, but we will get through it.”
