Phil Robertson hints he may be leaving Duck Dynasty in Parade interview

The bearded Robertson boys of Duck Dynasty cover the new issue of Parade Magazine as the headline proclaims “THE MIGHTY DUCKS: How the Robertson of Duck Dynasty Became Reality TV’s Biggest Stars.” In the article writer Shawna Malcom talks with the Robertsons about how the show came about as well as the nuts and bolts of how the show is made and what the impact of so much fame and exposure has had on their family. It is revealed that family patriarch (and the creator of the duck calls at the heart of the Robertson family business) Phil Robertson had to be talked into participating initially, and apparently the success of the show hasn’t gone to his head because he suggests he will be leaving soon!

NBC announces Tommyknockers & Rosemary’s Baby remakes, Hillary Clinton documentary

The mini-series is back! After the huge success of recent mini-series such as The Hatfields & McCoys, Game Change, and The Bible, networks are announcing lots of new projects in the long-form format. At the 2013 TCAs earlier today NBC announced they will be giving the mini-series treatment to Stephen King’s The Tommyknockers, Ira Levin’s Rosemary’s Baby, and a biopic on Hillary Clinton simply titled Hillary and starring Diane Lane. Also in the works is the “limited series” Plymouth, which will “explore the challenges and drama of the Pilgrims’ journey across the Atlantic and the difficulties of settling in a new country.” Kep reading for the full press release with details on each series!

Man hands over laptop, charged with child pornography after believing “FBI Warning” computer virus

Everyone knows the old adage, “even a broken clock is right twice a day,” well apparently even computer viruses can be helpful once a decade! 21-year-old Jay Matthew Riley of Woodbridge, Virginia has been charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography and solicitation of a minor after bringing his laptop in to a Prince William police station and asking officers if he had warrants on file for child pornography because he received an “FBI Warning” telling him he needed to pay a fine or a criminal investigation would begin. The warning was a computer virus (or malware) commonly referred to as “ransomware.”

REPORT RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey not pregnant, has uterine fibroid tumors

The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Cynthia Bailey found herself at the center of pregnancy rumors back in June when she appeared to be sporting a bit of a baby bump while attending the 2013 Miss USA pageant. Cynthia later assured fans that she wasn’t pregnant but “dealing with a medical condition that makes me look pregnant.” A family friend now reveals that Cynthia’s “baby bump” was caused by uterine fibroid tumors and viewers will get to see Cynthia dealing with the diagnosis and having them surgically removed next season.

Lady Gaga looks unrecognizable without makeup in new photo, plus watch her get her nose pierced

Lady Gaga is looking different these days in preparation for her ARTPOP album. She seems to be going for a more bare-faced, light-eyebrows look.

Everyone went nuts when she posted the above photo on her Little Monsters social media site. I think the biggest shock factor here is her eyebrows, which appear to be bleached. She usually colors them to be darker than normal. Eyebrows are major players in the face game.

On July 10, a particularly disturbing case of animal abuse was discovered when a dog, who came to be called Brownie, was found anchored to a chain with burns covering his eyes, nose, feet, ears, legs and body. Brownie eventually died from the injuries suffered and the woman responsible was later caught because she bragged about her actions on Facebook. Man arrested, found with knife, zip ties after threatening to slit Nancy Grace’s throat

In June, David Lee Simpson of Bath, New York tweeted that he was going to tie Nancy Grace and Jane Velez-Mitchell to a “tree naked and leave them to suffer all night,” then “slit their throats.” The 48-year-old was said to have been obsessed with Jodi Arias and was enraged by comments Grace and Velez-Mitchell made about the now convicted murderer. An Arizona Sheriff took the threats seriously and a subsequent investigation and arrest revealed that he might very well have intended to follow through with his murderous threats.

C. Andrews.
