I haven’t seen a single episode of The Catalina, the new reality series premiering tonight on The CW, but thanks to an aggressive bikini marketing campaign, I have to confess I’m intrigued 🙂 The show focuses on the (rather sexy) staff of Miami hotel The Catalina, most all of which have spent the last week wearing next to nothing and posing for photographers poolside and on the beaches of Miami. It appears that every cloud does have a silver lining, even the iCloud! Katy McCaffrey had her iPhone stolen in April while aboard the Disney Wonder cruise ship and assumed she would never see it again. Then, last month, photos began to show up on her iCloud stream thanks to an Apple feature called “Photostream.” The pictures feature a Disney Wonder employee she calls “Nelson” partying, looking at sunsets, and posing with other ship employees as well as his (apparently) pregnant girlfriend!

So what did Katy do? She created a public Facebook album titled “Stolen iPhone Adventures” with 20 of the photos, along with some very unsympathetic commentary that has since gone viral with well over 8,000 shares at the time of this post.
