In “celebrities have the same problems as us” news, Kim Kardashian went on a Twitter rant yesterday accusing British Airways of “opening my luggage & taking some special items of mine!” The alleged thievery took place as Kim was leaving Europe to return to the United States after attending events in the UK to promote her perfume, and then making appearances at the Cannes Film Festival in France with her man Kanye.
Here are Kim Kardashian’s accusatory tweets:

What happened to the days when you could lock your bags! We need to get back to that. There’s no sense of security & no trust!

There’s no more information on what these “sentimental and not replaceable” “special” items are. A spokesperson for British Airways says they are looking into the claims.
I’m not surprised by the incident at all. It seemed inevitable something like this would happen to someone who carries so much junk around in her trunk! 😉 Of course, some would argue that she got rid of all her excess baggage when she filed for divorce in October.
UPDATE – TMZ has learned what items turned up missing out of Kim’s luggage:
When Kim arrived home from France Friday night, she noticed her luggage was significantly lighter than when she left. A search inside the suitcase quickly revealed the thieves made off with a pair of vintage sunglasses her dad, Robert Kardashian, gave her just before he died — sunglasses she only wore on very special occasions.
And there’s even more thievery. Kim is telling friends the baggage bandits made off with several extremely expensive purses and Tumi luggage.
