Filming began earlier today in Dublin, Ireland on the John Ridley directed Jimi Hendrix biopic All Is By My Side, and a photographer was on hand to capture a first look of actor (and Outkast rapper) Andre 3000 as Jimi Hendrix. The 37-year-old Andre 3000 (real name Andre Benjamin) looked nearly identical to the guitar legend!
In addition to sporting Jimi’s trademark hairdo, Andre also looked to be wearing a brightly colored shirt and red pants under a robe as he tried to avoid more photos:
Also photographed on set was actress Hayley Atwell, who will be playing Linda Keith, the woman who discovered Hendrix in New York’s Cheetah Club in 1966.
