This week Faye Resnick posted her first blog on BravoTV.com in which she addressed her confrontation with Brandi Glanville at Kyle Richards’ dinner party in the most recent episode. Though rather tame by “fighting with Brandi” standards, the reaction was HUGE and almost completely vitriolic towards Faye — so much so that her blog has since been deleted! Most fans who fell in love with Catfish the movie were a little bit wary when it was announced MTV would be taking the concept and turning it into weekly show. (It could be said we didn’t want to be too optimistic about the show until we met it in person, in case it turned out to be a catfish itself!) Well, the series is six episodes in and I don’t know about you, but I know about me and the other 2+ million folks who are tuning in each week — we’re addicted! One of my favorite year-end lists is the CNN Hero project that highlights many people doing extraordinary things that I may not have otherwise known about. This was certainly the case for Catalina Escobar of Cartagena, Colombia. Escobar was volunteering her time at a local hospital in the town of Cartagena when a 12-day-old boy died in her arms. This was heartbreaking enough, but when she discovered his passing could have been prevented with a mere $30 she had in her pocket it was a situation she found untenable. This, combined with the tragic loss of her own son, led her to action and over the last decade she’s been credited with having saved over 2,000 babies. There have been rumors that Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans has been using heroin and that her addiction to the drug was the real reason for her recent extended hospital stay, but she has denied those claims repeatedly, insisting her hospital stay was because of her continued problems with ovarian cysts. Today the 21-year-old single mom seemed to concede her heroin problem to a certain extent by retweeting comments made by her husband Courtland Rogers, who claimed Jenelle’s ex Kieffer Delp got her addicted to the drug. There were a lot of familiar faces in the premiere episode of Ax Men Season 6, but one long-time cast member didn’t look like himself at all. S&S Logging’s Jimmy Smith appeared to have lost at least 50 lbs. and his graying dark hair had turned almost completely white. It didn’t take the show long to give an explanation for Jimmy’s transformation: he was fighting cancer. Sadly, Jimmy lost his battle with the disease on November 1.
