VIDEO LYRICS LeAnn Rimes performs “Borrowed” about Eddie Cibrian affair on Jay Leno

LeAnn Rimes performs Borrowed song about affair with Brandi Glanville's ex-husband Eddie Cibrian on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno

It’s looking more and more like Barack Obama needs to invite Brandi Glanville and LeAnn Rimes to Camp David for the weekend because their conflict continues escalating and seems to be close to spiraling completely out of control! Brandi has been using her gig on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills as a chance to blast LeAnn in front of milliong of television viewers, so LeAnn returned the favor last night by performing a new song about her affair with Brandi’s ex-husband Eddie Cibrian on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno!

The song is titled “Borrowed” and it has some very specific (and very harsh if you’re Brandi!) lines like, “Do you tell her that you love her like you do me? Do you make love to her the way you make love to me?”

Here is the entire episode of The Tonight Show with Jay Leno including LeAnn Rimes’ performance (in the final segment) followed by the “Borrowed” lyrics:

LeAnn Rimes – Borrowed Lyrics

I know you’re not mine, only borrowed
Cause you already belong to her, at least you said so
But I’m starting to believe it ain’t the whole truth
As we’re lying side by side, I get the whole you

I Wanna hold out, but gotta hold on,
Even though I know it’s wrong
Cause I don’t want to give you back
I don’t want to give you back
You’re the best I’ll ever have
So I don’t want to give you back
But you’re borrowed

Do you tell her that you love her?
Like you do me?
Do you make love to her,
The way you make love to me?
Well I keep myself alone in case you call tonight
Its pathetic how I lie around
And wait all the damn time
It’s a short high and a long low,
Every time you have to go

Cause I don’t want to give you back
I don’t want to give you back
You’re the best I’ll ever have
So I don’t want to give you back
But you’re borrowed
Only borrowed

How much time is left and you don’t return?
And you don’t return?
How much time?
Oh is left and you don’t return,
And you don’t return
How much time?

I know you’re not mine, only borrowed
And I don’t want to give you back
I don’t want to give you back
You’re the best I’ll never have
So I don’t want to give you back
No I don’t want to give you back
No I don’t want to give you back
You’re the best I’ll never have
So I don’t want to give you back
But you’re borrowed, only borrowed,
Cause you’re borrowed

“Borrowed” will be included on LeAnn Rimes’ new album Spitfire, due to be released April 30. There is no word if any of the other songs on the album will address Brandi Glanville in any way, but with a title like Spitfire I’m guessing there will be a few.

LeAnn Rimes talks about Brandi Glanville and song Borrowed on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno

In addition to performing the song, LeAnn also sat down and talked with Jay Leno about its meaning:

“The song is about…the situation.

“I did go through a very public affair…with Eddie, who is now my wonderful husband.

“The song looks into the darker moments of things.

“People think that it was done with complete abandonment. It wasn’t.”

Rimes then added, “I call myself pathetic in the song because at that moment I was pathetic.

“The chorus is ‘I don’t want to give you back.’

“A lot of people who have been in that situation can relate to that…it kills me to give that up.

“It’s a very intimate look into a very rough moment of my life.’

She continued by saying, “The last four years have been very compressed with stress…the affair, getting married.

“I didn’t know how to deal with it so I wanted to take care of myself.”

She later talked specifically about Brandi Glanville and their ongoing feud and how Brandi talks about her often on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. “I should feel flattered that she thinks I’m so interesting that I can be a storyline in her show.”
