General curator for the Wildlife Conservation Society’s Bronx Zoo in New York Pat Thomas did an experiment in 2003 with a variety of popular perfumes to see which ones held the big cat’s attention for the longest. It’s actually an old zoo trick to spray perfume on rocks and trees to keep the animals from getting too bored, but some work much better than others. Your Cat: The Owner’s Manual author Dr. Marty Becker took this information to mean you can also spray this fragrance on say, a scratching post, or maybe a toy, to get your own kitty’s attention focused. I haven’t read the book, but he put this information out there on GMA, so we assume that he’s actually tried this on actual domesticated small kitty cats. He did write the book on cats, after all.

Basically he says the fact that we made Kim Kardashian a celebrity because she had a sex tape signals the fall of our civilization. This theory seems a little extreme, but maybe he’s right.

Swamp People’s Mitchell Guist dies in St. Martin Parish, Louisiana
Swamp People star Mitchell Guist died this morning. Assumption Parish Sheriff Mike Waguespack tells WBRZ the incident occurred around 9 a.m. in St. Martin Parish along the Belle River. Law enforcement sources tell TMZ “someone tried to perform CPR on Guist … but attempts to resuscitate the reality star were unsuccessful.” Friends close to Guist tell the site he had recently fallen ill, but there are no further details at this time.
UPDATE – According to law enforcement sources, Glenn was out in his boat along the Belle River … when he “fell.” Witnesses say he appeared to have been suffering from a seizure.

A brutal and horrific video featuring a young Asian woman beating and torturing an infant child laying on a bed went viral on Facebook and Twitter Wednesday evening as a swell of outraged viewers demanded that the identity of the woman in the clip be revealed and she be punished for her heinous crimes. Just as the state of North Carolina has voted to constitutionally ban same-sex marriage even in light of an angst and violent encouraging sermon from a pastor on the issue went viral a young man by the name of Shane Bitney Crone has posted his own viral video. The video is entitled “It Could Happen To You” and in the following 10-minute clip Crone details his relationship with his boyfriend of nearly 6 years. Shane lost Tom to a roof-top accident just days after his 29th birthday and felt compelled to share his story for Tom’s memory and hopefully to change a few minds in regards to the nature of love in the light of same-sex relationships.
