Yesterday Jack Osbourne revealed to the world that he has been diagnosed with MS at age 26. He’s already lost most of the vision in his right eye, but doctors say with proper care, he should have a good prognosis.

In the new issue of Hello! magazine, Jack and his parents Sharon and Ozzy talk more about Jack’s illness, with his parents even blaming themselves. A tearful Sharon told Hello! “I keep thinking: ‘What did I do wrong? What did I eat or drink when I was pregnant? I feel like it’s somehow my fault.

Ozzy pointed out if he was the one who was ill, people would blame his hard-living: “If it was me, you’d think: ‘Ozzy had a reputation and it caught up with him’, but Jack is such a good guy.”

Jack says he felt angry for a while, but is now using this experience to not only change his lifestyle, but his attitude:

“I got really sad for about two days, and after that I realized being angry and upset is not going to do anything at this point — if anything it’s only going to make it worse. ‘Adapt and overcome’ is my new motto.”

His girlfriend and baby’s mother Lisa Stelly even feels like the diagnosis “is a blessing in disguise” because it will force him to adopt a healthier lifestyle, and avoid stress, a major trigger for the disease.
