Earlier this week, rumors hit the web claiming Real Housewives of Orange County star Vicki Gunvalson had tried to get Alexis Bellino fired from the show after the ‘phony intervention’ in Costa Rica. The report claimed that after consoling Alexis following their drama-filled dinner, Vicki went back to the cast and suggested they all write a letter to the heads at Bravo suggesting they give Alexis the boot. The following morning, Vicki confided in the ladies that she had been up all night writing her letter, but none of the other ladies cared to do their part.
After hearing of the report, Vicki issued a statement to Rumorfix saying, “OMG this 100% false! Absolutely not. I love Alexis. This is a lie! I never wrote a letter, never said anything of the sorts, nor would I.” Vicki and Alexis have gotten extremely close since their trip to Costa Rica. Vicki and her boyfriend, Brooks Ayers, even joined Alexis and Jim for Jim’s birthday celebration in Napa, CA.
Although the rumors don’t seem to make much sense considering their current friendship, is it possible that months ago in Costa Rica, Vicki felt differently? Two sources close to the situation are speaking out — Gretchen Rossi and Tamra Barney!
Tamra took to her Twitter account to reply to Rumorfix’s post about Vicki denying the claims and said, “I can confirm that is 100% true and so can Gretchen Rossi and everyone else that was there.” Gretchen confirmed Tamra’s statement saying, “100% this is true!” Heather Dubrow, the third person included in the scenario, has kept her lips sealed. However, with 2 out of 3 housewives confirming that Vicki tried to get Alexis fired, we’re going to have to assume this rumor is, as Gretchen says, 100% true!
