A Georgia father who has been charged with murder and second-degree child cruelty when his toddler son died from hyperthermia after being left in his car will not be allowed to attend the funeral. The case against Justin Ross Harris has garnered national attention and ignited a petition signed by over 10,000 asking that the authorities withdraw the murder charge, a petition that has since been withdrawn over mounting evidence and concerns that what happened was more than just negligence. One report, citing a law enforcement source, said that a search for how long it takes an animal to die in a hot car was found on Harris’ work computer.
