The U.S. Women’s Gymnastics Team obliterated the competition over in London as they took home the gold for America. The next closest competitor was Russia and they were lagging 5 points behind (which is a HUGE margin). It was such a dominating performance it has some asking if this is the greatest women’s gymnastics team America has ever assembled. One of the many great individual performances was a vault so spectacular by McKayla Maroney that it literally dropped a judge’s jaw! Joe Giudice (aka Juicy Joe) appeared in court this morning to face fraud and identity theft charges following his attempt to obtaining a driver’s license using his brother’s name in June of 2010 after his license was suspended just a few months prior when he was charged with DUI. Project Runway is only two episodes into its tenth season and already the show seems to have a frontrunner in Guyanna-born designer Vengsarkar “Ven” Budhu who has wowed judges with his flawlessly executed, complex but seemingly effortless designs. Ven mentioned in last night’s episode that he graduated from the prestigious Fashion Institute of Technology in New York and received a number of awards while in attendance there, so I did a little research and found a photo of the evening gown that won him the institution’s highest award of Designer of the Year in 2006! Artist David Gilmore from the site PrettyOnTheOutside.com has been doing hilarious caricatures of Bravo’s many Real Housewives for years, and getting lots of accolades from sites like ours, Zimbio, BravoTV.com and numerous others. Big Brother villain Willie Hantz was arrested in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana at 2:07 AM this morning. The incident comes just days after Willie was thrown out of the house after a verbal dispute led to a head-butt attempt on one of his co-stars. Willie was allegedly drunk at the time of his arrest and later charged with an OWI.
