Somehow the judges of American Idol have become a bigger story that the singing stars the show is supposed to seek out and give a platform for.
The last stalwart of the crew, Randy Jackson, is on the outs as a Judge and will now be just a mentor for aspiring young dream followers. This according to sources with TMZ.
This of course asks the question, “So who’s gonna replace Randy?” Well it looks like a near certainty that it’s gonna be Nicki Minaj. Apparently, already signed on superstar judge Mariah Carey really doesn’t like the idea of a Minaj-a-trois but producers of the show are excited about the possible conflict that putting those two gals chair to chair might cause.
It’s hard to imagine watching hopefuls audition without getting Jackson’s input but I guess you never know. I can say for a certainty it was one heck of a successful run for Randy on American Idol.
