Cracker Barrel waffles on Duck Dynasty merchandise, networks offer to take Duck Dynasty from A&E
Caught in the middle of the fallout from Duck Dynasty star Phil Robertson’s controversial comments about race and homosexuality are the businesses selling Duck Dynasty merchandise. Tennessee-based restaurant chain and retailer Cracker Barrel, who are still trying to rebuild their image after the U.S. Department of Justice found them guilty of numerous racist practices in 2004, announced last week that they would be removing “selected products which we were concerned might offend some of our guests.” As you might imagine, the decision drew quite the backlash from a large number of Cracker Barrel customers, and this weekend the company did a complete turnaround and even offered an apology.
