Like daughter, like mother? Months after 18-year-old Ireland Baldwin signed with mega-modeling agency IMG, 60-year-old Kim Basinger scored a contract of her own.
“We are proud to be working with a distinguished and talented actress such as Kim Basinger,” Ivan Bart, senior vp and managing director of IMG Models, told The Hollywood Reporter of the Academy Award winner. “Kim has a powerful appeal on screen that will lend itself as a strong asset for us to seek innovative partnerships across the modeling and entertainment platform for Kim.”
Ireland, Kim’s daughter with ex-husband Alec Baldwin, has proven to be a good score for IMG: Since signing with the agency in March, she’s posed for New York Post and Elle.
During the shoot with Elle, the aspiring comedy writer explained Kim — who modeled as a teenager before transitioning to acting — provided the push she needed to start modeling.
“She thought it would be good for my confidence, because I never thought of myself as a pretty girl.”

Although Kim is yet to shoot with IMG, her success is all but guaranteed.
“She looks like she’s my age,” Ireland told Elle. “Her body, I swear, it’s scary.”
