RHOA’s Cynthia Bailey reveals husband Peter Thomas almost left her amidst health crisis

Cynthia Bailey - Peter Thomas - Marriage Problems

Did Cynthia Bailey and Peter Thomas include the “for better, for worse” part in their marriage vows? I just ask because their new interview with Life & Style makes it sound like Peter wasn’t really willing to stand by his wife during her time of need.

Speaking with the magazine, Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Cynthia and Peter confirmed he nearly ended the marriage while she was dealing with fibroid tumors.

“Me and my buddies were planning a trip to Venezuela because nobody knows us there,” Peter said, explaining he was seriously considering cheating on Cynthia when her bloating made it too uncomfortable to have sex. “There is absolutely no way we could have survived another year if things hadn’t changed.”

Cynthia agreed that her health problems created serious issues in the marriage: “We’d be divorced for sure.”

Fortunately for their relationship (and for Cynthia’s overall health), a corrective procedure last summer helped her feel like herself again.

“We’re intimate a lot more now and it feels great,” the housewife explained, adding her relationship with Peter is better than ever — despite lingering financial problems.

Real Housewives of Atlanta airs every Sunday night on Bravo at 8/7c.
