Sorry, Selena Gomez fans in Australia and Asia: You can no longer “Come and Get It.” Selena announced today she is canceling the Asia/Australia legs of her Stars Dance tour.
“My fans are so important to me and I would never want to disappoint them, but it has become clear to me and those close to me that after many years of putting my work first, I need to spend some time on myself in order to be the best person I can be,” the 21-year-old singer statement via Live Nation. “To my fans, I sincerely apologize and I hope you guys know how much each and every one of you mean to me.”
The 13 affected concerts were scheduled to commence in mid-January. Live Nation, Selena’s show promoter, said on its website that ticket holders can obtain refunds at the points of purchase.
Selena had a minor meltdown during KIIS FM’s 2013 Jingle Ball earlier this month. After having technical difficulties throughout the concert, she dropped the f-bomb… During one of the few moments her microphone was working. Hopefully this break provides the “me time” she needs.
