The war on Christmas rages on as two separate face punching incidents involving a grandmother from Ohio and a mom from Michigan reminds us all that the holidays are right around the corner.
11-year-old punches grandmother after she refuses to buy him toy:
On Friday an 11-year-old was taken into police custody for popping grams in the nose when she refused to purchase him a toy at a Ohio department store.
Dayton cops were called when a witness dialed 911 to report an assault in the toy aisle of Rose’s Store. Barbara Weeks, the victim, told investigators that the boy punched her because she would not make the purchase. Weeks added that her grandson tried to land another blow but that she managed to flee his fists before being struck again.
The kid was charged with domestic violence and taken to a Juvenile Justice Center.
Jealous, drunk son punches mother while decorating Christmas tree:
33-year-old Lewis Atwood of Casco Township, Michigan was arrested on a charge of domestic violence after police alleged he punched his own mother in the face numerous times while trimming the family Christmas tree.
Cops responded to a 911 call late Friday from the residence. While no one was on the line speaking, the dispatcher could hear “yelling and screaming in the background and a woman screaming ‘You are hurting me,’”according to deputies.
The Allegan County Sheriff’s Office investigated the situation and determined that Lewis had gotten enraged after he discovered “there was an ornament with his brother’s name on it and that there were no ornaments with his name.”
Police allege that a drunken Atwood then punched his mom, Sandra, 4-5 times in the face. Sandra Atwood suffered “a bloody nose, swollen eye, and swollen lip during the attack by her son, who had ‘minor injuries to his knuckles and hands that would be consistent with this type of assault,'” according to The Smoking Gun.
Lewis Atwood was booked into the county jail with a bond set at $5,000.
