Sarah Guyard-Guillot, an acrobatic performer in the Cirque du Soleil show Kà, died Saturday night after falling during a performance at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. According to audience members in attendance, the incident occurred during the final battle scene when Guillot-Guyard was ascending the vertical wall that served as the battleground when she somehow came free from her safety wire and fell more than 50 feet into an unseen pit below the performers. Guillot-Guyard, 31, is survived by two children ages 8 and 5. Just days after nanny cam video footage of a violent Millburn, New Jersey home invasion went viral authorities have arrested 42-year-old Shawn Custis, who now faces charges of attempted murder, robbery, burglary and child endangerment. The arrest was made Friday in Manhattan by the prosecutor’s office and the FBI just hours after authorities released a mug shot photo of Custis from a previous burglary arrest.
According to numerous reports, singers Avril Lavigne and Chad Kroeger were married earlier today in a lavish ceremony in the South of France. News of the “secret” affair was first leaked on Twitter by Mike Heller, the CEO of the talent company that represents Avril. “I’m in south of France about to see my little Rok star #avril get married I am so happy to be part of this special celebration,” he wrote before adding, “No pictures will be sent since this is #avril wedding but I will tell you everyone is so excited.”
