REPORT The Kris Jenner Show canceled by Fox

The Kris Jenner Show talk show

Kardashian momager Kris Jenner gave it a good go with her Fox talk show The Kris Jenner Show, but apparently even a blockbuster finale with son-in-law Kanye West and the world premiere of Kim Kardashian’s daughter North West wasn’t enough to keep the show afloat as the network has reportedly decided not to renew the show for a second season.

A “source close to the production” tells Radar Online, “There is no chance the talk show is going to get a green light from FOX. The ratings were averaging an abysmal 0.8 and advertisers were less than enthusiastic about it.”

Although the show did get quite a boost for the season finale featuring Kanye and the photo of North West, the network reportedly saw it as an artificial inflation and not an accurate indication of what to expect from the show on a day-to-day basis in a second season.

“It’s a very crowded market and Kris didn’t do anything to set herself apart from the field. Believe it or not, most of America doesn’t want to hear about the Kardashians for an hour everyday,” the source tells the site.

The source adds that Fox will more than likely wait to make the announcement because they don’t want to subject Kris to the added negative attention when her family is currently going through the crisis with Lamar Odom and his reported drug issues and split from Khloe.

UPDATE – The official Twitter account for the show is disputing the Radar Online report:

Lesley Goldberg of The Hollywood Reporter tweeted in response that there would be “No decision until late fall.”
