It always comes as a bit of a shock to learn that a celebrity you only picture as a child is old enough to marry or have a baby. At least, that was my first reaction upon reading that Anna Chlumsky of My Girl fame is expecting her first child with her husband, Shaun So.

14-year-old Tennessean Katelyn Norman had a dream of attending her school’s prom. She was making her way to do just that but the terminally ill teen, who suffers from an aggressive form of bone cancer called osteosarcoma, began having difficulty breathing and was rushed back to Tennessee Children’s Hospital. Faced with having the dance in her honor with out her, many of her friends, classmates and family decided that was simply unacceptable and surprised the teen with an impromptu celebration at her hospital.
