Chris Brown pulled the swaparazzi on Monday by turning himself in to police one day earlier than expected for his hit-and-run case, thus avoiding photographers upon his arrival. The 24-year-old singer reportedly showed up at the Van Nuys, California jail at around 2PM Pacific time, just a few hours after rapper 50 Cent made an appearance in the courthouse adjacent to the jail. Brown was later released on his own recognizance with no bail.

MTV announced earlier today they have given the green light to four new unscripted projects, including one that seems to be a complete 180 degree turn from their previous reality show successes, Jersey Shore and Teen Mom (1, 2, 3). The show is tentatively called Untitled Virgins Project and is described as “a docu-series following the lives of young adults as they navigate the world of relationships and sexual pressures all while sharing one major thing in common: virginity.” (I suppose they could also have the GTL mantra — but definitely no Smush Room!) Dad Victor Ruiz of Houston, Texas was arrested last week after his car was towed from a no parking zone — with his two young daughters inside! The incident occurred at Ruiz’s apartment complex where he had parked illegally and left his daughters in the back seat as he unloaded groceries. According to eyewitness Sade Jones, a tow truck driver pulled into the apartment complex, hooked up the car, snapped a photo of where it was parked, and drove off quickly even though she says she was yelling at him, “Wait, wait wait! The mini-series is back! After the huge success of recent mini-series such as The Hatfields & McCoys, Game Change, and The Bible, networks are announcing lots of new projects in the long-form format. Everyone knows the old adage, “even a broken clock is right twice a day,” well apparently even computer viruses can be helpful once a decade! 21-year-old Jay Matthew Riley of Woodbridge, Virginia has been charged with multiple counts of possession of child pornography and solicitation of a minor after bringing his laptop in to a Prince William police station and asking officers if he had warrants on file for child pornography because he received an “FBI Warning” telling him he needed to pay a fine or a criminal investigation would begin. The warning was a computer virus (or malware) commonly referred to as “ransomware.”
The Real Housewives of Atlanta‘s Cynthia Bailey found herself at the center of pregnancy rumors back in June when she appeared to be sporting a bit of a baby bump while attending the 2013 Miss USA pageant. Cynthia later assured fans that she wasn’t pregnant but “dealing with a medical condition that makes me look pregnant.” A family friend now reveals that Cynthia’s “baby bump” was caused by uterine fibroid tumors and viewers will get to see Cynthia dealing with the diagnosis and having them surgically removed next season.

C. Andrews. Autopsy and toxicological analysis performed on Glee star Cory Moteith indicate that the 31-year-old actor died from a “mixed drug toxicity, involving heroin and alcohol.” Although officials didn’t say that drugs were found in Cory’s hotel room where his body was found on Saturday, they seemed to suggest that was the case by revealing, “There was evidence in the room that was consistent of a drug overdose.”
Former Real World: Las Vegas (and current Couples Therapy) star Dustin Zito was arrested and charged with sexual battery in Lafayette, Louisiana Saturday night after he allegedly “reached under” a girl’s dress and “grabbed her genitals without consent.” Making matters worse, Dustin resisted arrest and had to be pepper sprayed by the arresting officer before being booked. Zito was reportedly very inebriated and told the officer, “F*** it! Let’s Fight” before adding “that the female victim should be thankful that he reached up her dress since he is a TV Star and several girls wish for that to happen,” according to the arrest report.

Lifetime officially announced their latest film project Baby Sellers earlier today, describing the movie as “a chilling account of the brutal and horrific realities behind the global illicit trade of selling children, many kidnapped from their homes, under the guise of seemingly regulated adoption.” The Lifetime Original Movie stars Emmy and Golden Globe winner Kirstie Alley as well as three-time Daytime Emmy Award winner Jennifer Finnigan and is set to premiere August 17.
