Management at a Jefferson City, Missouri movie theater came up with what they believed to be a brilliant idea to promote the premiere of the film Iron Man 3. They carefully thought this concept through months in advance and proceeded to carry out their scheme. What was this publicity stunt you ask? They hired an actor to pretend to be a gunman and storm the theater in full tactical gear with fake weapons drawn. Surprise, surprise — this idea didn’t sit too well with some of the moviegoers or the local police but what’s most shocking is the management’s response after the story broke!
Zach Braff recently caused some controversy when he launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund a new movie he wants to create. Some, well many, felt as though he was abusing the website which aims to help people who don’t have the resources necessary to do it on their own raise money for their projects. Zach was accused of taking advantage of fans who are in charge of generating the funds. While defending himself and his choices to launch the campaign, Zach spoke about the importance of being completely honest with fans.
