There were a lot of familiar faces in the premiere episode of Ax Men Season 6, but one long-time cast member didn’t look like himself at all. S&S Logging’s Jimmy Smith appeared to have lost at least 50 lbs. and his graying dark hair had turned almost completely white. It didn’t take the show long to give an explanation for Jimmy’s transformation: he was fighting cancer. Sadly, Jimmy lost his battle with the disease on November 1. Discovery’s “reality” series Amish Mafia premiered Wednesday night to a whopping 3.643 million viewers, following in the footsteps of their sister network TLC’s very successful Breaking Amish series this fall. The show centers around the Tony Sopranoesque “Lebanon” Levi, who heads up a gang of enforcers that supposedly takes care of the dirty tasks the Amish community leaders are unwilling to do themselves. So who is this Lebanon Levi? His real name is Levi King Stoltzfus and he has quite the criminal record, though it may not be what you expected!

Dave Hester filed a multi-million dollar lawsuit against A&E Television Networks and Original Producers, the producers of Storage Wars, today after months of turmoil over his contract and the alleged “salting” of storage units won my cast members. The suit alleges that after Hester asked for indemnity from the alleged fraudulent manipulation of the storage units to producers, they fired him — which he claims is a breach of contract. In addition to the “salting” of lockers with unique and interesting items, Hester claims producers rig the bidding for dramatic effect, repay an antiques business for items used to salt lockers by featuring them on the show for appraisals, and even paid for a female cast member’s plastic surgery to add sex appeal!
