Teen Mom 3 cast officially announced, the cast speaks out

'Teen Mom 3' cast Briana Dejesus, Mackenzie Douthit, Katie Yeager, and Alexandria Sekella

The cast of Teen Mom 3 has finally been confirmed. Earlier this year, MTV announced that four girls from the fourth season of 16 & Pregnant would be chosen for the all new series and while many reports and incriminating photos have surfaced since then, we finally know for sure which of the girl’s lives we will be following.

Drumroll please.. and the chosen ones are.. Briana Dejesus, 17, Mackenzie Douthit, 18, Katie Yeager, 19, and Alexandria Sekella, 18. While we had previously reported that  Mackenzie, Katie, and Alex had been filming for the show, the fourth girl remained a mystery (though we suspected Briana was the fourth one.)

“I was scared to do the show [initially],” Mackenzie admits to In Touch Weekly.  “But I can’t look back and change the fact that I got pregnant so all I can do is look towards the future.” Of her relationship with her baby’s father Josh, Mackenzie says, “You’ll see our good and bad times.”

When fans last left Alex, she had been dealing with the fallout from her toxic relationship with her boyfriend Matt, who was lost in his drug addiction and in no way capable of caring for her child. “I refuse to let him see her,” Alex explains, adding that she hopes young viewers will learn from her mistakes. “I see too many young girls making the same mistake I did; being sexually active at too young an age.”

Briana, the youngest of the girls, had a unique story when she appeared on 16 & Pregnant — see and her sister had both gotten pregnant around the same time but made different choices for their future. Briana chose to keep her daughter and her sister had an abortion. “My story lets you see, there are different choices,” Briana says. “With every choice you make, there’s hardships. No matter what, it’s still going to be difficult, but you still have a choice.”

Katie was forced to put her dreams of a higher education on hold after giving birth to her daughter Molli but now, she’s back in action and studying to become a social worker. She hopes that her story will inspire young people to stay focused on their dreams and says, “I want to help people.”

A premiere date for Teen Mom 3 has yet to be announced.
