Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson and family are currently filming three “Holladay” specials for TLC set to air in January, so unfortunately they weren’t able to share photos of themselves dressed up for Old Hallow’s Eve, but that didn’t stop them and family friend Bobbie from running a honey Boo Boo Halloween costume contest on their Facebook fan page!
The contest, which garnered well over 600 entries (2nd album link) when it ended November 1, required that you dress up as one of the family members (just likenesses were not enough) and was initially to be decided just by fan voting, with the top three finishers getting prizes that included a UR brand tee shirt and autographed photos of the family. Because of the number of entrants, each family member (and Facebook page admin Bobbie) each picked a favorite for a total of 11 winners!
Up top is the overall winner, Lyndzy Gordon Lucchesi, who garnered 3,438 votes with her beautimous montage homage to Honey Boo Boo wearing a pink pageant gown and “redneckognize” sash. Next up is the second place winner, Beth Miller, whose family did some gender swapping costumegery to earn their 2,832 votes, including a Papa June and Mama Sugar Bear! (Also notice lil Honey Boo Boo grasping a bottle of Go-Go Juice – a nice touch.)
In third place is little Andrea Jane, who managed 2,555 votes for her sassified yellow with black polka dots and pink sequined outfit:
And here are the family’s picks:
^ Alana’s pick: Pamela Randolph as Elvis Honey Boo Boo
^ Mama June’s pick: Elizabeth Parrish as vajiggle jaggletastic Coupon Queen Mama June
^ Jessica’s (Chubbs) pick: Alonna Wright as Go-Go Juice guzzlin’ Honey Boo Boo
^ Sugar Bear’s pick: Joe Catalano as Sugar Bear with Miss Beautimous
^ Pumpkin’s (Lauryn’s) pick: Savannah Nation as a pumpkin
^ Chickadee’s (Anna’s) pick: Arielle Bryant as sassified Honey Boo Boo with stuffed Glitzy the Pig
^ Baby Kaitlyn’s pick: Baby Lillian as Glitzy the Pig
^ Bobbie’s pick: Conner Granito as Honey Boo Boo
Congratulations to all the winners and thanks so much to the Thompson family (and to Bobbie) for running such a fun and good-spirited contest! I can’t wait until the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo Holladay specials (Including Hollaween!) to see what all the gals (and Sugar Bear) chose to wear!
