Whitney Houston’s family gets Lifetime reality show “The Houston Chronicles”

TLC to air two more episodes of “Virgin Diaries” in 2012

It’s amazing that 15 seconds of cringe-worthy affection could spawn a reality television franchise, but that seems to be exactly the case with TLC’s Virgin Diaries. The network aired their first one-hour VD special in December of 2011 and it featured a wedding of dualing virgins who had never even kissed when they were pronounced husband and wife. What happened after the preacher said “you may kiss the bride” single-handedly reduced the mononucleosis rate in America by 36 percent. It’s called My Big Fat American Gypsy Wedding, but if the teaser clip leaked to TMZ is any indication, it’s TLC goes GTL on steroids! We know a thing or two about reality throw downs and this is without question the most skin-exposing eye-gouging fight to ever grace the genre, and that’s saying a lot. I have to admit this show wasn’t on my radar, but it certainly is now! I guess that’s the point of letting this gem slip out. Did I say gems slipping out?

Sheree Whitfield is leaving Real Housewives of Atlanta. Did she quit or was she fired?

It’s the end of an era in Bravolebridom as Sheree Whitfield, one of the three original cast members left on The Real Housewives of Atlanta, has made it official: she’s leaving the show. Sheree issued a statement in which she says she left of her own accord, but a conflicting report suggests she was fired for her diva behavior, being boring, and for asking for too much money.
