For my money, the very best morning news host, Robin Roberts, of Good Morning America has revealed that she’s been diagnosed with MDS or myelodysplastic syndrome. This is a medical problem that came about from her breast cancer treatment she received approximately 5 years ago. The candid Roberts posted a statement explaining what has happened to her and why she fully intends on beating MDS, a disease of the blood and bone marrow that was once called pre-leukemia. In a statement released earlier today TLC announced the Go-Go-Juice-guzzling star of Toddlers and Tiaras Alana Thompson is getting her own spin-off reality series titled Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. “When she’s not chasing after crowns, Alana’s with her family in rural Georgia doing what her family does best: four-wheeling through mud pits and picking up road kill for the family cookout.” Wait, what? “A dolla make me holla eat roadkill” I guess. Coming not long after the controversial Time magazine cover of mother Jamie Lynne Grumet breastfeeding her nearly 4-year-old son new photos are circulating that are once again questioning the boundaries of breastfeeding practices. See the images of two Air Force soldiers in uniform openly breastfeeding and posted as a part of a breastfeeding awareness campaign launched by the Mom2Mom support group on the Fairchild Air Force Base, in the state of Washington. In addition find out what one of the ladies photographed had to say about being in uniform and breastfeeding and why she feels she has the right to do so.

Kathie Lee Gifford apologizes for Martin Short interview gaffe

Veteran comedian and actor Martin Short appeared on the Today Show for a little sit down interview with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb. What ensued was one of the most uncomfortable moments in recent live TV history. Short was on to promote the well reviewed new film Madagascar 3 when Kathie Lee asked Short, “And you and Nancy have one of the greatest marriages of anybody in show business. How many years now for you guys?” What Gifford was not aware of was that Short’s lovely wife, Nancy Dolman, died in August 2010 from ovarian cancer.
