TMZ says Lindsay Lohan was in a pretty serious car accident today. She’s been hospitalized, but reportedly appears to be okay. Her rental black Porsche, however, has been totaled after running into an 18-wheeler.
Lindsay, who is currently filming Liz & Dick as Elizabeth Taylor, is reportedly saying that the accident wasn’t her fault because the 18-wheeler cut her off.
Neither Lindsay nor the truck driver were under the influence of alcohol, but Lindsay did have an open container of alcohol in the trunk (it might have even been part of the debris according to some reports.
Lindsay’s assistant was in the passenger’s seat, and witnesses said they both looked bruised and bloody. The assistant was taken to the hospital in an ambulance, but Lindsay was transported to the ER in another vehicle.
