Academy Award nominated actress Ellen Page revealed she is gay during a speech yesterday as part of the Human Rights Campaign’s Time To Thrive conference, which focused on the welfare of LGBTQ youth. “I’m here today because I am gay,” the 26-year-old star of such films as Juno, Inception, and X-Men: The Last Stand told the audience at Bally’s Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. “I am tired of hiding and I am tired of lying by omission,” she later added, “I suffered for years because I was scared to be out. My spirit suffered, my mental health suffered and my relationships suffered. And I’m standing here today, with all of you, on the other side of all that pain.” Keep reading to watch the full speech!
