Gwendlyn Brown, who is the 21-year-old daughter of Kody and Christine, has started a Patreon and a YouTube channel reacting to Sister Wives episodes. In her first reaction Gwendlyn offers her fair and honest opinions about the second episode of Season 17. One of the truth bombs she dropped was about how she really feels about her father’s fourth (and only legal) wife Robyn.
When the Brown family of Sister Wives visited Nathan Collier and his two wives Vicki and Christine in a Season 8 that aired January 2015, the Montana-based family was actively seeking a third wife. In the subsequent years they also endured a legal battle in an attempt to obtain a marriage license for Nathan’s second wife Christine. That fight was unsuccessful and Christine has reportedly left the family.
The marriages in the polygamous Brown family of Sister Wives don’t follow the same rules as legal monogamous marriages. Although they were spiritually binding through the Brown family’s former church, when members no longer believe in the faith anymore a divorce can simply be declared, much like a “break-up” in a dating relationship.
This is what Christine did to end her marriage with Kody. He did the same thing with Meri but he just didn’t directly tell her. After years of stringing her along, Meri found out that Kody didn’t consider himself married to her any more while she was taping the Season 17 One-On-One special.
For the past several years Sister Wives‘s Kody Brown has made it clear that he doesn’t want a romantic relationship with his first wife Meri Brown. He’s gone so far as to say that he no longer considers himself married to her. Now in the Season 17 One on One special, Kody tells host Sukanya Krishnan that he wanted to reconcile with Meri.
After months of speculation by Sister Wives fans, it appears that Janelle Brown has finally left Kody Brown.

On Season 17, episode 13 of Sister Wives Meri Brown is starting to see some of the hypocrisy in Kody’s treatment of her versus how he treats other wives. Specifically she’s seeing parallels between what he’s complaining about with Christine and how he treats her.
Sister Wives couple Kody Brown and Robyn Brown have been very vocal about their disdain for RVs, so why do they have a very large camper parked on their property? And who is the costumed person seen leaving the RV during this week’s Halloween episode? Is that robyn’s son Dayton?
PLUS, lots more things we noticed during the Brownton Abbey scenes from this week’s episode, including A LOT of clutter, a new window air conditioner (?!), and the new home of the infamous “Kody and Robyn Sexy Convertible” photo!
After 30 years, Kody is flipping the script on Janelle and trying every trick in the book to get her to leave without directly asking her to leave after draining her financial resources.
Tonight’s episode of Sister Wives (Season 17, Episode 13 “Coronapocalypse”) showcases the heartbreaking reason why Janelle’s son Gabe no longer speaks with his father Kody. While recounting the story, Gabe breaks down in tears.
For years now Kody has let Meri know that he doesn’t have a romantic relationship with her and doesn’t plan to ever have one. He has also told the Sister Wives audience that he doesn’t consider himself married to Meri and wouldn’t mind if she found a husband. This hasn’t inspired Meri to leave. With Janelle, however, Kody has seemed to been pushing her away. In next week’s episode he gets a little more direct with her.
The entanglements of the Sister Wives Brown family finances continue to be brought to light as the family unravels before our eyes. Last week we learned that Janelle Brown gave half of her proceeds from the sale of her Las Vegas home to help Robyn buy her current home. This week we learned that Meri gave all of the money she made from the sale of her Vegas house to Robyn for her house.
