According to sources, Houston’s family has been notified that she did not die of drowning, but rather from what appears to be a toxic mix of prescription pills including Xanax and alcohol.

From Beverly Hills Police Lieutenant Mark Rosen: “I can confirm that Whitney Houston was pronounced dead at 3:55 p.m. at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. We received a call at 3:43 p.m. from hotel security and Beverly Hills Fire and police responded minutes later. It’s unclear who notified hotel staff because she has quite an entourage here at the hotel. We attempted to resuscitate her, to no avail.”

An Indiana judge has approved Teen Mom star Amber Portwood’s plea deal that would allow her to enter rehab in lieu of serving out a 5-year prison sentence for drug possession and violating her probation. As we reported last week, the deal mandates that Portwood successfully completes the Madison County Drug Court program, and if she has any sort of slip up she will be forced to serve out the prison sentence. Uggie narrowly escaped a trip the pound when trainer Omar Von Muller rescued him and trained him into the skillful actor he is today. 10-year-old Uggie was previously seen in early 2011’s Water for Elephants, but truly won the hearts of the world in his show-stealing performance in The Artist. Teresa Hunt was busted in a FBI sting after she tried to extort $10,000 from the Duggar family, or get them off the air in exchange for not releasing what she called “damning” photos of Duggar first cousin (and aspiring country singer) Amy Duggar.
Hunt actually shopped the photos to Radar Online at some point, who declined to buy the photos. The Radar staff says the photos were “harmless snaps rather than incriminating, damning photos,” and at the time they passed on them they had no idea Hunt was trying to extort the Duggars.
