Katy Perry seems to be back to her fun fashionable self after a lengthy period of joyful fashion mourning since her split from husband Russell Brand back in December. The 27-year-old singer wore an elegant flapper-esque dress and gigantic pink floral hat to the 2012 MusiCares Person Of the Year Gala in honor of Paul McCartney last night.

Katy still had her blue hair (with dark roots) and seemed to be in good spirits as she posed for photos. I for one am glad to see the old Katy Perry back! Her upbeat and colorful personality as well as her upbeat and colorful fashion sense almost always puts a smile on my face as I virtually thumb through thousands of celebrity photos on a daily basis. I look forward to her performance on the Grammys Sunday night – hopefully it will mark a new beginning for her post-Russell Brand.
So what can we expect from Katy tomorrow night? She’s keeping everyone guessing! “Sunday evening will definitely be a guessing game,” Perry told Entertainment Tonight in between last-minute rehearsals for Sunday’s broadcast from the Staples Center. “But it will be exciting, it will be very fun, challenging and fresh.” She then added: “I’m just pleased that they allow me to come back here and make a mess of things.”
