While the split of Kris “sad boxes” Humphries and Kim Kardashian is taking a turn for the worse stars Katy Perry and Russell Brand are showing how this difficult emotional time can be handled with humility, grace and smiley faces 🙂
Perry and Brand have reached an official settlement in their divorce as is indicated by court documents obtained by starcasm. The documents read in part:
“The parties have entered into a comprehensive written settlement of all issues, including, without limitation, with respect to the property to be confirmed or assigned to each party.”
The two had no pre-nup but Brand took the high road, or the chump road as some negative nellies have been bemoaning, by not seeking any spousal support even though he was entitled to as much if he would have pushed for it. While it’s sad news to see the couple on the outs officially, it’s a relief to know that they have handled their legal separation like civil adults.
Well the civil part is for sure while the adult part remains in question a smidgen as the official docs reveal that Katy Perry actually signed off with a smiley face! Here’s the image:
