Wednesday night A&E premieres its latest reality show venture Rodeo Girls starring a line up of easy-on-the-eyes female barrel racers as they navigate the professional rodeo circuit and all of its pitfalls — both in the rodeo ring and out. As is the case any time a preview trailer for a reality show features cast members in bikinis having a good time (Heaven forbid), there has been a pre-airing backlash against Rodeo Girls from some purists who insist the show isn’t an accurate portrayal of successful, hard-working rodeo girls, with suggestions that the women on the show aren’t even “real” professional rodeo girls. So, I did a little research to see just how accurate these accusations are.

After hearing the news that Teen Mom 3 had been cancelled by MTV the show’s cast members took to Twitter to express their disappointment. Briana DeJesus and Alex Sekella expressed their frustration over the fact that Teen Mom 2 is currently filming its fifth season, with Alex writing, “Guess we weren’t enough of train wrecks for it to be interesting. America wants to watch crazies oh well.” As you might have guessed, some of the cast members of Teen Mom 2 took offense and offered up their responses and an all-out Twitter feud ensued that also included Maci Bookout, Randy Houska, Jenelle’s boyfriend Nathan Griffith, Mackenzie’s mom Angie Douthit and Alex’s ex Matt McCann.

Teen Mom 3 canceled by MTV, cast members react

As we reported last month, the third installment of MTV’s Teen Mom franchise was not guaranteed to be back for a second season after having difficulty getting traction in the ratings combined with discontentment among some of the cast members about editing and how they were portrayed on the show. Judging from their Twitter feeds, it appears the Teen Mom 3 gals got the official word yesterday that MTV has decided to cancel the show and it would not be back for Season 2.
