Valentine’s Day as we know it now is very bittersweet: Sweet if you’ve got a generous crush/love and/or lots of friends to shower you with gifts, cards, emails, tweets, flowers, and candy, until you’re swimming in red and pink colored flattery. It’s also sweet if you’re a pop star who spends Valentine’s Day with a dying fan.
But it’s also very bitter, for those who think it’s just another cynical holiday meant to sell candy and cards, and of course, if you’re not linked up to anyone romantically during this time, it just seems like everyone who is is just rubbing it in your face. The Artist’s Uggie is sick with mysterious shaking disease; retiring after The Oscars
If you haven’t seen the magically entertaining The Artist, you’re missing out on a real heckofan entertaining, whimsical film, and you’re also missing out on the full charms of Uggie, Jack Russell Terrier Extraordinaire. (The Artist is a black-and-white silent film, which sounds boring, but it’s absolutely the best bit of fun you could possibly have at the movie theater, or at your home theater if you DVD it when it comes out.)
Uggie narrowly escaped a trip the pound when trainer Omar Von Muller rescued him and trained him into the skillful actor he is today. 10-year-old Uggie was previously seen in early 2011’s Water for Elephants, but truly won the hearts of the world in his show-stealing performance in The Artist. Unfortunately though, after Uggie massive success (which should result in an Oscar, but we’re award shows are so human-centric,) he’s going to have to retire because he’s suffering from a mysterious shaking illness.

Woman busted in FBI sting for trying to extort Duggar’s cousin, country singer Amy Duggar with “harmless” photos
Teresa Hunt was busted in a FBI sting after she tried to extort $10,000 from the Duggar family, or get them off the air in exchange for not releasing what she called “damning” photos of Duggar first cousin (and aspiring country singer) Amy Duggar.
Hunt actually shopped the photos to Radar Online at some point, who declined to buy the photos. The Radar staff says the photos were “harmless snaps rather than incriminating, damning photos,” and at the time they passed on them they had no idea Hunt was trying to extort the Duggars.

48-year-old 2ealthy Polo club founder John Goodman, who is currently in the middle of a civil case over a drunk driving death he caused in 2010, is receiving a lot of heat for adopting his 42-year-old girlfriend Heather Hutchins October 2011. Not only is that a weird act, but plaintiff’s attorneys believe this odd legal action was a blatant attempt to shield his assets from the legal proceedings.
Sounds sort of fishy, but while the legal system works out this mess, it still begs the question: Now that his girlfriend is his daughter, is it legally considered incest to have sex with her?

Last October (2011) a group of 13 teenage girls in upstate New York town LeRoy suddenly developed unexplained Tourrette’s Syndrome like tic symptoms. Many of the girls experienced the symptoms simultaneously, but weren’t aware that the other girls were experiencing the same thing.

Confirmed: Demi Moore IS in treatment facility
Yesterday we reported on a rumor that Demi Lovato was back in rehab. However, several sources have refuted that claim (originally made by blindgossip.com.)
What we can confirm, though, is that another famous woman named Demi, Demi Moore has checked into a treatment center facility center to “treat exhaustion and improve her overall health,” after being rushed to the hospital in an ambulance Tuesday for what TMZ is calling “substance abuse problems.”

He rambles for pages and pages about communicating with Lindsay on Facebook, a failed online business partnership, assassinating Osama bin Laden, hurling insults at her mother’s PR person, and claiming Lindsay is a high-end hooker. He wants $300,000 from the starlet for his troubles.

UPDATE Teen Mom Jenelle Evans arrested for violating domestic violence protective order
Teen Mom 2 star Jenelle Evans is behind bars again, this time for violating a domestic violence protective order according to a news release from the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Department. The arrest occurred Monday night at around 7:15 and as far as we can tell she is still in jail at the time of this post.
UPDATE – We spoke with Jenelle’s attorney who tells us she is out on $1,000 bond and faces 75 days of active jail time.

Beyonce suffered a miscarriage before getting pregnant with Blue Ivy Carter; daddy Jay-Z releases GLORY for his daughter
Blue Ivy Carter’s daddy Jay-Z released a very sweet song for his new daughter today called “Glory, featuring B.I.C.” (listen below.)
He sings “Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you,” and also “You’re my child from a child of Destiny’s child.”
The song ends with Blue Ivy, or B.I.C.’s cries. She’s not even two days old, and she’s already a recording artist!
Jay-Z also reveals in the song that wife Beyonce suffered a miscarriage before she became pregnant with baby Ivy Blue:
“Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you’d disappear/But nah baby you magic.”

True Life Textaholic’s Kristin Raeon says her divorce had nothing to do with texting
On the MTV documentaryTrue Life: I’m a Textaholic (premiere date Nov. 5, 2011), Kristin Raeon was featured to tell the story of her texting addiction. The basic storyline of the show was that her constant texting was ruining her life, causing her to have problems in school, and ultimately ended her marriage. Kristin was shown going a birthday trip to Panama City with her husband Steven Brooks. They went out drinking, and to to shock and dismay of the viewing audience, Kristin immediately let a guy buy her drinks, exchanged numbers with him, and then ran back to tell her husband about it. Kristin got a lot of backlash about this depicted behavior, but she tells starcasm.net exclusively that all wasn’t as it seemed.

Renee Graziano is back with Hector Pagan ex-husband Hector Pagan Jr. (a.k.a. Junior) and the father of her son AJ (Anthony John). Hector Pagan Jr.
Last year Junior Pagan was rounded up in a major mob bust, leaving Renee devastated. She briefly got back with her ex-husband, but left him after she found out he was seeing other women.
On tonight’s episode Junior wanted to spend time with Renee in the six months he had while he wanted for his sentencing for the last bust. He told Renee that her brush with death during her plastic surgery nightmare scared him because he didn’t want to lose her. When she asked if he didn’t want to lose her because he was still in love with her, or because he loved her, he replied “both,” which made her break down. Renee replied “I’ve been waiting for this for year. For years I’ve been in love with you, only you.”

Charles Grant’s girlfriend Marlo Hampton is making an appearance on the Real Housewives of Atlanta this year, but she didn’t get cast in a top spot.

Marlo’s first arrest was in 1999 for felony Aggravated Battery / Great bodily harm with a weapon. According to Straight From the A, she slashed a woman’s face during a fight with a man.

Sienna Miller (30) is expecting her first child with boyfriend of almost a year Tom Sturridge, US Weekly reports. Their source claims Sienna and Tom “don’t have plans right away to marry, if at all.” They reportedly weren’t surprised about the news of the pregnancy, and are “really good together.”
