Blue Ivy Carter’s daddy Jay-Z released a very sweet song for his new daughter today called “Glory, featuring B.I.C.” (listen below.)
He sings “Baby, I paint the sky blue, my greatest creation was you,” and also “You’re my child from a child of Destiny’s child.”
The song ends with Blue Ivy, or B.I.C.’s cries. She’s not even two days old, and she’s already a recording artist!
Jay-Z also reveals in the song that wife Beyonce suffered a miscarriage before she became pregnant with baby Ivy Blue:
“Last time the miscarriage was so tragic/We was afraid you’d disappear/But nah baby you magic.”

Beyonce and Jay-Z have been married since 2008, when they got hitched at a very private ceremony. Beyonce refused to acknowledge the marriage publicly for a very long time. November 2011 Beyonce revealed her wedding dress is some candid photos as part of her Live at Roseland video.
She revealed she was pregnant with Ivy Blue at the 2011 VMAs, and gave birth Saturday January 7, 2012. Reports are that she paid $1.4 million to rent an entire floor of Lenox Hill Hospital on New York’s Upper East Side for the birth. Although initial reports claimed she had a C-Section, Beyonce and Jay-Z issued an official statement about Blue Ivy’s birth saying she was born naturally:
“Hello Hello Baby Blue! We are happy to announce the arrival of our beautiful daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, born on Saturday, January 7, 2012.
Her birth was emotional and extremely peaceful, we are in heaven. She was delivered naturally at a healthy 7 lbs and it was the best experience of both of our lives. We are thankful to everyone for all your prayers, well wishes, love and support.”
