Since surviving her heart-breaking split from husband Russell Brand, singer Katy Perry has seemed to go through a bit of a metamorphosis, and as a result she has suggested that her new album Prism (due out on October 22) will have some more mature and darker themes than some of her previous fun-spirited (and smash hit!) pop singles. Today the 28-year-old singer provided a literal illustration of the changes in store with a new video promoting the first single “Roar” in which she sets fire to her blue wig!

The DO ask, DO tell costume came complete with an amply plumaged military top hat, red and gold jacket, white criss-crossed Perry berries suspenders, a curled handlebar mustache on a stick and a pair of shiny blue hot pants that would make Wonder Woman proud. In other words, Katy Perry was nutcracker sweet!

This may be the very best Katy Perry dress ever! It’s a perfect snowman outfit with simultaneously evokes our beloved pal Frosty and displays her voluminous snow balls!
