Katy Perry and John Mayer pose for a cozy Fourth of July photo
Katy Perry and John Mayer are infamously private about their relationship. The pair doesn’t walk the red carpet together and they don’t dish on their romance to tabloids. What they do sometimes do is pose for photos, and on the Fourth of July they shared a personal moment from their Independence Day celebration with fans.
Last night, Katy and John were in attendance at Philadelphia’s Fourth of July Jam, which John headlined. Before the event, Katy posted the photo above on her Instagram account with the caption, “Whose broad stripes & bright stars?!”
In the photo, Katy is wearing a collared button-down with an American flag pattern, and her boyfriend John is wearing a blue button-down with white stripes and blue bandana tied around his head. Unfortunately, the couple isn’t facing the camera, but beggars can’t be choosers, right? At least we got a glimpse into their celebration.
Katy and John first began dating in the summer of last year but after about 6 months together, they reportedly split in March, just weeks after it was rumored that they were engaged, because of their hectic schedules. Then, in June, the two got back together.
Despite keeping her romance private from the press as much as possible, Katy recently revealed to Vogue Magazine that she is “madly in love” with John, adding “All I can say about that relationship is that he’s got a beautiful mind.”
