Several sources are reporting that Katy Perry and John Mayer have split… for the second time. The two singers started dating in June of last year, but they parted ways after just two months. One month later, they decided to give it another go, with rumors circulating last month that the two had even gotten engaged. But alas, they have apparently once again called it quits with sources claiming that it was their busy schedules that ended the courtship. But for all you fans out there hoping Jhn isn’t another one that got away, there may still be hope!
“It’s sad,” one friend reveals to Us Weekly. However, the same friend seemed to suggest that they could just be taking a break, as they’re known to do. “It’s not over until it’s over. You have to see how things play out.” Another source claims, “She’s leaving the window open. They have both been so focused on work.”
Katy, 28, is busy working on her third album in Los Angeles and John, 35, is getting ready to embark on a seven city tour which will take him to New York, California, Alabama, and Louisiana before ending in Rio De Janeiro.
Things appeared to be just fine between Katy and John up until earlier this month. On March 2, she told fans on Twitter, “My boyfriend is taking me to a kitten shelter in his truck. I can’t think of a more perfect Saturday.” But then on March 18, she hinted that there may have been some turmoil in her life recently. “ATTENTION: Mercury is OUT of retrograde today,” she wrote. “Thank GOD.”
