Here’s the first extended look at the upcoming Columbia Pictures movie The Smurfs 3D with a mixture of animation and live action from such stars as Neil Patrick Harris, Hank Azaria, Jayma Mays (Glee) and the voice of Katy Perry as Smurfette:
Ummmm… I confess that I was looking forward to seeing the Smurfs on the big screen, but this looks pretty bad. It appears to be yet another animated/live action film that tries to be for both adults and children (See Shrek and pretty much every Pixar movie) but finishes up in the dead zone between, appealing only to infants and toddlers who would enjoy anything with little talking blue people and slapstick.
I dunno – maybe it’s just a bad trailer. What do you think?
