If you’re chillaxing on the streets of the NYC today and see a milk truck headed your way you might be disappointed if you were looking for a cool glass of the cow’s udder. You see this particular milk truck doesn’t have milk but what it does have is pop singer Katy Perry pitching her own new scent Purr.
It’s a hide and seek game for Perry and her fans as she will be tweeting her destinations throughout the day. The first event was held at Greely Square at around 11 PM EST. Better than the Twitter heads up you can follow the truck around the streets of Manhattan via a live feed on UStream that is set up at katyperrybeauty.com.
Here are a couple of screen grabs from the live stream that includes the precious pink Purr mobile that is kind of like the Popemobile but for Katy!
Katy said of Purr that:
“I’m such a huge fan of animals. But I love cats, you have to earn their affection. I know I’m like that. I think I’m like the Catwoman but in a sexy way. When a woman enters a room and leaves a mystery behind her it’s a beautiful thing.”
She went on to say about the uniqueness of her product:
“The beauty blogs are rooting for it. I’ve added Purr into my daily routine and it makes me more cute.”
Katy certainly did look cute shilling for Purr in New York City. She also mentioned that she was a big fan of Glee’s cover version of her song “Teenage Dream” as performed by Darren Criss. You can check out a live performance of the song by Criss here.
It’s fun watching Katy handle interviews live. She’s really in control and is stern whenever someone tries to veer from the topic of the day which is of course the smell of Katy’s kitty.
